Wales came from behind to do the double over Scotland in tonight's 2014 World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park.
Scotland took the lead against the run of play in first half stoppage time when Grant Handley scored with an attacking header. Later Gareth Bale had to come off with an ankle injury.
The loss of Bale didn't deter Wales and they deservedly equalised when Robert Snodgrass was sent off for a second yellow. Aaron Ramsey scored the resulting penalty.
Ninety three seconds later Wakes went in front when Robson-Kanu headed in between two Scotland central defenders.
It was a disappointing night for new Scotland manager Gordon Strachan taking charge of Scotland at home for the first time.
For Wales boss Chris Coleman he would have been pleased with his side's performance. They controlled possession for much of the game and posed a threat throughout.
The only disappointment for Wales was the sending off of Aaron Ramsey in stoppage time.
Wales now lie in third place in Group A behind Belgium and Croatia.
Scotland are rooted to the bottom of the Group A.
