Everton sack Ronald Koeman
A statement released by the club said: “Everton can confirm that Ronald Koeman has left the club. Bill Kenwright, the board of directors and Farhad Moshiri would all like to express their gratitude to Ronald for the service he has given over the past 16 months and for guiding the club to seventh place in last season’s Premier League campaign.” The 54-year-old Dutchman joined the Toffees from Southampton in June 2016 and took Everton to seventh place in his first season in charge last season. Ten-man Stoke City held Norwich to a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road after Bradeley Johnson gave the host’s the lead, Jon Walters’ penalty pulled the visitors level before he was sent off minutes later for a challenge on Alex Tettey. Luis Suarez scored two as Liverpool secured their first win at The Britannia Stadium in The Premier League. Strike partner Daniel Sturridge also had a cameo in the game scoring one and setting up Suarez’s second and Liverpool’s fourth goal. Whilst Steven Gerrard scored a penalty and Aly Cissokho bagged a deflected goal.
